Pause or uninstall keyplace

In short

• Pause keyplace any time with one click in Settings. Your knowledge and reports stay.

• While keyplace is paused, the widget shows a short message and doesn't answer.

• Uninstall during the 30-day trial and you won't be charged.

• Once you uninstall, the widget stops right away. We delete your store data within 30 days of uninstalling.

Pause keyplace

1. In keyplace, open Settings.

2. Under Pause keyplace, click Pause.

The status changes to Paused. The widget on your product page then shows a short message and doesn't answer shoppers. Your knowledge and reports stay.

To resume, go back to Settings and click the button again.

If our team paused keyplace

Did you see a message that our team paused keyplace in all stores? We did this to keep stores safe. We'll resume keyplace as soon as we can.

Remove the widget from your theme

Want to keep keyplace installed, but hidden from shoppers? In the theme editor, remove the Ask about product block and click Save. keyplace stays installed, but shoppers don't see the widget.

Uninstall keyplace

1. In Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps.

2. Find keyplace and uninstall it.

Uninstall during the 30-day trial and you won't be charged. Once you uninstall, the widget stops right away.

What happens to your data

• First, we check with Shopify that keyplace is really uninstalled.

• Only then do we delete your store data from our databases, within 30 days of uninstalling.

• Even before you uninstall, we keep shopper conversations for only 30 days.

Remove our collaborator access

When our work ends or you uninstall keyplace, we remove our collaborator access ourselves. You can also revoke it at any time. In Shopify admin, go to Settings > Users. Step by step: Team access to your store.

Common questions

Can I move to a lower plan instead of uninstalling?

Yes. After the trial, you can move to a lower plan in the app, without emailing us. More in Plans and the 30-day trial.

Do I lose my knowledge and reports when I pause keyplace?

No. When you pause keyplace, your knowledge and reports stay.

Who do I ask about pausing or uninstalling?

Email us at mati@keyplace.ai. Never send us passwords or 2FA codes (one-time login codes).
